The product development process detailed below takes approximately 60-90 days to complete. Our beverage development packages start around and under $10,000.00 for a single product.

 

Our "Premium Development Package" includes development for two products as well as a comprehensive Business Plan with a detailed market analysis, marketing strategy and profit and loss projections.  
 

We also have an "Investor Package" that includes formula, graphics, prototypes and an investor presentation (This will help you get an investor ).

 

Our complete process includes but is not limited to the following;

 

Creative Brief: Meeting/conference calls to determine and define brand identity including packaging design, recipes/formulas, target demographic etc.

 

Label/Packaging Design: HellBent graphic department will design product labels. This process may include sketches, sourcing art specific to the design, identifying font treatment or creating one, exploring layout options, creating tag lines and other text for label (Branding), nutritional tables and ingredients statements. Each of these components may be redesigned s several times during completion of label based on consumer testing as well as client feedback.

 

Formula Research & Development: An R&D brief (Form A-1) will be created by HellBent based on the direction, recipes and samples received from Client. HellBent in-house beverage formulation laboratory will begin recipe formulation work upon completion of the creative brief. HellBent will work on this process in conjunction with several companies that specialize in ingredients and raw materials for beverage production. All companies that will assist HellBent beverage scientists with any part of the formulation process will be supplied with base samples, recipes and a briefing by HellBent. Over a period of approximately 60-90 days bench samples of the product will be prepared and sent to client for review. Usually between 1-3 rounds of samples are required to complete product development. Final formulas will be converted into bottling formulas for mass production.

 

Packaging Material Sourcing: Bottles, caps, labels, cartons and any other component that is used in the manufacturing process for this brand will be sourced. HellBent has extensive data bases for each component. Samples will be sent to client for review. Price, lead times, minimum quantities, maximum capacity etc will be established for each component. Contracts for purchase of said materials will be reviewed.

 

Contract Manufacturers: One or more contract manufacturers will be identified. Each manufacturer must be capable of running to the exact specifications of our new product ie. Machines must be able to manage the chosen bottle style, have the correct processing equipment for the ingredients we select be able to run short runs to start and large volume as required, be near major ports etc. Contracts with manufactures must be established to run product, these contracts will outline costs, warranties, storage service, additionally insured policies etc.

 

Pilot Run: HellBent can be on site for pilot runs to ensure quality control is maintained.

 

Business Plan: a comprehensive business and marketing plan with all the market analysis and profit and loss information can also be included in your project.

 

Once we have completed the product development and/or business plan stage we can also help you launch your product into the market using our own Sales Managers or hire one specifically for your brand.
